Montreal "Chinese Culture Month" Successfully Concluded
蒙特利尔中国文化月圆满结束
In the evening of February 28, 2014, Montreal "Chinese Culture Month" concluded by presenting the main event - the Peking opera "Hamlet" in Place des Arts. Chinese Consul General in Montreal Zhao Jiangping, the Minister Counselor cultural attache of the Chinese Embassy in Canada Lidong Wen, the Mayor of Montreal Denis Coderre, and other guests attended the first show.
At the reception, Mme. Zhao Jiangping gave a warm speech in which she highly praised the past two years’ cultural exchange activities between the two great countries, especially this year in Montreal, the "Chinese Culture Month". Mr. Coderre also gave a gracious speech.
Montreal "Chinese Culture Month" was held between January 21 and March 1, 2016, covering contemporary art exhibitions, opera, modern dance, children's theater and the like.

2月28日，中国驻加拿大使馆公使衔文化参赞李冬文赴蒙特利尔艺术中心，与中国驻蒙特利尔总领馆赵江平总领事、蒙特利尔市市长等中外嘉宾共同出席了中国文化月闭幕式招待会，并观看了由上海京剧院奉献的京剧《王子复仇记》。
赵江平总领事和科德尔市长在致辞中祝贺蒙特利尔中国文化月成功举办，并期待两国文化交流在2014年更上一层楼。赵江平在招待会上回顾了近两年来中国在蒙特利尔所举办的文化交流活动，特别是今年蒙特利尔“中国文化月”的情况，高度评价了文化在深化两国关系中所发挥的巨大作用。艺术中心董事会主席劳林和上海京剧院院长单跃进也在招待会上发表了致辞。
蒙特利尔“中国文化月”由文化部主办、蒙特利尔艺术中心承办，在中国驻加使馆和驻蒙特利尔总领馆大力支持下，历经两年多时间充分准备，内容涵盖当代艺术展览、京剧、现代舞、儿童剧等。活动采用商业化模式运作，通过与加拿大主流艺术机构合作和主流渠道运作，达到了向加拿大主流社会、主流媒体全面展现中国文化发展风貌、加深两国人民相互了解和友谊的目的。CCCDA协助举办了这些活动。
作为蒙特利尔“中国文化月”的重要内容，上海京剧院《王子复仇记》将于2月28日和3月1日在蒙特利尔艺术中心演出两场。该剧创排于2005年，此次参加“中国文化月”活动是其第九次赴海外演出。
