Chinese Folk Artists Presented Their Arts in Canada
中国民俗艺术家多伦多献艺 八仙过海尽显神通

Federation of National Artist delegation arrived in Toronto in June 2008. A delegation of eight China’s top folk artists performed various skills, including lacquer crafts, handicraft figurines, painted snuff bottles, bird painting, "clay figurine Zhang" Clay sculpture, rotate qigong master, Chinese calligraphy, and seal cutting.
These folk artists also participated in the Ottawa Tulip Festival and the Toronto International Dragon Boat Festival. They participated in art fairs, arts and crafts bazaar and other activities. To pass along the Chinese culture, the artists also ran workshops in Toronto Communication Arts Centre.
中国文联民族艺术家代表团在参加渥太华郁金香节及访问蒙特利尔后，近日抵达多伦多。代表团由八位中国顶级民族艺术大师组成，带来中华民俗绝技及艺术珍品。艺术团的成员为：雕漆工艺美术师孙国森，手工艺艺术家王桭苓，面塑艺术家候付更，民间工艺艺术家内画鼻烟壶大师郑旭晔，花鸟书画艺术家张源，“泥人张” 泥塑雕刻艺术家姚晓静，旋转气功大师、吉尼斯世界记录保持者马连波，中国书法、篆刻艺术家马俊明。
八位艺术大师在参加渥太华郁金香花节、多伦多国际龙舟节后，还将在多伦多举办一系列活动，其主要活动有：6月30日大多伦多文化中心国庆联欢，7月1日新旺角广场迎奥运时尚健康体育节，7月2日至3日大都会广场中华民俗工艺展，艺术家们将在各项活动中一展身手，表演绝技。艺术家们还将参加圣罗兰斯市集艺术品展销及登打士广场艺品市集等活动。
