CHINA MELODY- CHINESE New Year Concert 2019 is an unforgettable celebration and a unique experience of the evolution of Chinese music with traditional classics for music lovers of all ages. It will feature performances by the most famous ERHU Soloist Jiang Kemei, Yangqin Soloist Zhang Gaoxiang, Assistant Concertmaster of National Arts Centre Orchestra, Canadian Violin Soloist Noémi Racine Gaudreault, as well as the oldest and finest national orchestra – China Broadcasting Chinese Orchestra.
The Chinese New Year Concert is designed to enrich the cultural exchange between East and West and to bring Chinese traditional music, which has a history of more than 3000 years, to the Canadian stages.
Under the baton of distinguished conductor Zhang Lie and with well-versed musicians, both traditional Chinese music and contemporary arrangements are interpreted. Audiences can immerse themselves in new soundscapes and broaden their musical horizons with an incomparable taste of Chinese folk music.
Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau and the Chinese Ambassador Lu Shaye graciously sent their congratulatory letters to the Concert Organizer.
